Sonic Rush Adventure - Nintendo DS - DE

While flying their plane over the ocean in search of a strange energy source, Sonic and Tails’ plane is struck by lightning! They crash into the murky depths of the ocean ... and wake up on a small island. A local resident, a raccoon named Marine, informs them that they are on South Island. With Marine and Tails’ help, Sonic sets off to explore the nearby islands. Sonic Rush Adventure is a side-scrolling adventure game and the sequel to Sonic Rush. Sonic’s goal in these platform levels is to race through the levels as fast as possible. By pressing the B button in the air, Sonic can increase his tension gauge by performing tricks in the air. If you press Y, you get a super boost that lets you plough through anything in your way at incredible speed, but it drains your tension gauge. When Sonic reaches the treasure chest at the end of each level, he receives a material that he can use to build ships and other equipment. Initially, Sonic is stranded on South Island, but after building the water wheel, he can travel to other islands and explore them. Similar to The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the player has to use the stylus to plot a course to the next island and then steer the ship to a limited extent during the journey. However, Sonic has various ships, all of which look quite different from Link’s steamboat. Sonic Rush Adventure also features a battle mode in which players can play either locally with a friend or worldwide via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Players can compete against each other in a one-on-one race through various levels, with each player trying to be the first to reach the end.
