Watch Dogs - Boxed - PS3

Watch_Dogs is an open-world game set in Chicago, USA. It begins with Aiden Pearce, the main protagonist, and his partner Damien Brenks hacking into the Merlaut Hotel. However, the job doesn't go according to plan and someone orders a hit on Aiden. While driving with his niece and nephew in the back seat, his car is shot at, resulting in the death of his young niece. The game takes place a year after these events, as Aiden searches for the people responsible for his loss.

In Watch_Dogs, a programme called ctOS (Central Operating System) controls Chicago's infrastructure: traffic lights, surveillance cameras, ATMs, bridges, mobile phones, the L-Train and more. It also stores information about every person living in the city and uses this data for crime prevention, among other things. In the game, players can use Aiden's phone to hack the city, gather information about Chicago residents, order cars and play various mini-games known as "digital trips".

The game is also full of side missions such as Fixer jobs, convoys, human trafficking investigations, privacy invasions and more. For successfully completing these missions, the player receives skill points which they can invest in their hacking, shooting or driving skills. As the game progresses, unlocking these skills can be very helpful for escaping from cops or giving the player more options on how to tackle certain missions.

Watch_Dogs also offers some online modes such as online hacking, invasion, online tailing and online racing.
