Answers about ordering, shipping, payment, your customer account, the VIP programme and grading. Didn’t find what you were looking for? You can chat with us directly below.

Orders & shipping

When will my order arrive?

If your order reaches us on a working day by 15:00, we usually ship it the same day – provided all items are in stock and payment has been received. We ship exclusively with Swiss Post as A-Post Priority, so your parcel is usually with you on the next working day.

Shipping costs: CHF 5.90 or CHF 10.50, depending on size and weight. Free shipping within Switzerland and Liechtenstein from CHF 149.– order value.

As soon as your parcel leaves our warehouse, you will receive an email with the tracking number. You will also find the link in your customer account under “Orders → Shipments”. Letter post items and some third-party deliveries have no tracking.

We ship pre-orders the day before release – more on this under Pre-orders and partial shipments.

Where is my parcel?

You can see the current status in your customer account under “Orders”: expand the order – under “Shipments” you will find the shipping method, the status and the Swiss Post tracking link. There is no tracking for letter post items and some third-party deliveries.

Shipped but not arrived? First check whether the parcel was left with a neighbour. If the status has shown “shipped” for more than five days, get in touch with us.

Why is my order arriving in several parcels? Not all items are stored in the same place – items from our main warehouse are sent separately and directly to you. You will receive a separate shipping confirmation for each parcel.

Pre-orders and partial shipments

Keep an eye on the release date on the product page. We ship pre-orders the day before release so that they reach you on time. If the goods reach us late, they go out on release day; in the case of allocations (less stock than ordered) we contact you personally and allocate by order date.

Good to know:

  • Pre-orders must be paid within 7 days, otherwise the order is cancelled and the goods are released again. Prepayment is not available for orders containing only pre-orders – please pay by TWINT, card, Apple/Google Pay or PayPal.
  • If possible, order up to 5 days before release. We are happy to accept later orders, but cannot guarantee delivery in time for the release.
  • If a product shows “Available for pre-order soon”, enter your email address on the product page and click “Notify me” – we will let you know as soon as pre-orders open.
  • If your order contains both pre-orders and items in stock, it may arrive in several shipments – each with its own shipping confirmation and tracking.

Our newsletter keeps you informed about new pre-orders.

Can I cancel or change my order?

As long as your order has not yet been shipped, we are happy to help: write to us in the chat or at service@amazingtoys.ch with your order number – whether you want to cancel, change the delivery address, swap an item or switch from pickup to shipping (shipping costs will then be added). Any amounts already paid will be refunded to you.

Once the order is on its way, it can no longer be cancelled – in Switzerland there is no statutory right of withdrawal (see Returns & exchanges). Pickup orders that are not collected within three weeks and pre-orders that are not paid within 7 days are cancelled automatically.

My order arrived damaged or something is missing

This is covered by our Worry-Free Guarantee:

  • Transport damage: contact service@amazingtoys.chwithin 48 hours of delivery with photos of the goods and the packaging. You will receive a replacement or your money back; if something needs to be sent back, we pay for the return label.
  • Wrong or missing item: write to us with your order number – we will put it right at our expense.

We sell only original goods sourced through official distribution channels.

Can I return or exchange items?

Under Swiss law there is no statutory right of withdrawal or return, and we do not take back goods for purely subjective reasons (not liking an item, changing your mind about a purchase). Sealed trading card products, single cards, video games and figures are excluded from returns to protect all buyers – once a pack has been sold, nobody can credibly resell it as unopened.

Transport damage and wrong or missing items are a different matter: these are covered by our Worry-Free Guarantee. We consider taking goods back as a gesture of goodwill on a case-by-case basis – details in our General Terms and Conditions, section 11.

An item is sold out – when will it be available again?

For sold-out items, the product page shows a field for your email address with the “Notify me” button – so you will be among the first to know as soon as the item is back in stock. Whether and when new stock arrives depends on the distributors; we usually cannot give a date. We announce new products and pre-orders in our newsletter.

Do you also deliver abroad?

Yes. We ship to Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Belgium with Swiss Post (Priority Plus), and to around 30 other countries in Europe, North America and Asia with DHL Express – you can see the available countries and shipping costs at checkout. Within Switzerland and Liechtenstein, shipping is free from CHF 149.– order value.

Please note: for deliveries outside Switzerland, taxes, import duties, customs duties and customs clearance fees may be charged in the destination country – these are payable by you as the recipient. Vouchers and discount promotions apply to delivery addresses in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

How is my order packed?

Shipping with care at AMAZINGTOYS®

We attach great importance to your order reaching you in perfect condition. That is why we use high-quality packaging materials to keep your products safely protected:

  • Single cards: these are packed in protective sleeves so that they are perfectly protected.
  • High-value cards: more expensive trading cards are, wherever possible, additionally shipped in toploaders or similar protective material to ensure maximum safety.
  • Larger products: figures, displays, boxes and the like are securely wrapped in bubble wrap to absorb knocks and stabilised with packing paper. That way everything arrives exactly as you would wish.
  • Shock-proof shipping: we make sure to fill any empty space in parcels carefully to prevent movement during transport.

Your collection matters as much to us as it does to you – with AMAZINGTOYS® you can rely on us to work with the greatest care. 💎

Where can I find the invoice for my order?

You receive the invoice as a PDF attachment to the order confirmation email – straight after placing your order. For environmental reasons, no paper receipt is included in the parcel. If you cannot find the email (not even in your spam folder), write to us in the chat with your order number – we will send it to you again.

What should I do if my parcel has been stolen?

If the parcel was correctly delivered by Swiss Post (see the tracking history) and placed in the letterbox, this constitutes theft. Upon correct delivery by Swiss Post, liability passes to the recipient.

In this case, the theft must be reported to the police. The invoice from AMAZINGTOYS® remains payable. By reporting this theft, you may be able to claim compensation through your household contents or liability insurance.

Where can I collect my order?

How do I check the balance of my gift card?

You can check the balance here of your AMAZINGTOYS® gift card. To do so, you need the voucher code and the voucher PIN – both are shown on the gift card PDF.

Customer account

How do I create a customer account?

You can create your customer account here – with your email address and a password, done in a minute. In your account you can see your orders with shipment tracking, your VIP points and the gift cards you have purchased; you also need it for the PSA grading service and the VIP programme.

If you do not receive an email from us (for example when resetting your password), check your spam folder or get in touch in the chat.

How can I reset my password?

Have you lost your password and can no longer access your user account? You can easily reset your password and have a new one sent to you:

  • In the login area, click on “Forgotten your password?
  • Enter your registered email address and click on “Send email”
  • Within a few minutes you will receive an email with a link you can use to set a new password in the shop.
How do I redeem a gift card?

In the online shop: add your items to the basket and enter the code in the “Voucher code” field – in the basket (below the summary) or at checkout. The amount is deducted immediately. If your purchase is less than the balance, the remainder stays on the gift card; several gift cards can be combined, including with current discount promotions.

At the AMAZINGTOYS® Store: show the gift card (PDF, printout or on your phone) at the till – we need the code and PIN.

Our gift cards are digital: once payment has been received, the PDF with code, PIN and QR code is sent automatically by email to the address used for the order; you can download it again at any time in your customer account under “My vouchers”. Gift cards are valid for 5 years and cannot be exchanged for cash. You can check your remaining balance here.

AMAZINGTOYS® VIP programme

What is the AMAZINGTOYS® VIP programme?

The VIP programme is free – with no annual fee and no minimum term. Here’s how it works:

  • 1. Sign up for free: on the VIP page, add the membership (CHF 0.00) to your basket and complete the order. At the AMAZINGTOYS® Store, you sign up at the till.
  • 2. Collect points: 7.5 VIP points for every franc, automatically with every purchase – online and at the AMAZINGTOYS® Store. Plus extra points when you check in at events with your card and during double points promotions.
  • 3. Redeem rewards: use points as a discount at checkout (275 points = CHF 1.–) or exchange them in the Rewards Centre for boosters, stickers and collectibles.

After you sign up, we will send your physical VIP card to your home free of charge (in about a week). You do not need it online – your customer account is all you need there. As a VIP you also get exclusive offers and earlier access to limited sets.

How do I collect VIP points?

For every franc you spend you receive 7.5 VIP points – automatically with every purchase on amazingtoys.ch and at the AMAZINGTOYS® Store. Shipping costs are not included, and only whole points are credited. 275 VIP points equal a CHF 1.– discount, so your points are worth around 2.7 % of your purchase.

You can earn additional points by checking in at events with your VIP card (for example at Fantasy Basel) and during double points promotions. Your points never expire.

How many VIP points do I receive?

Our rewards structure is extremely flexible, so you can easily redeem your points at any time or save them up for bigger goals. With AMAZINGTOYS® purchases you collect VIP points worth at least 2.7 % of the total price, and you can use them as a discount on your future purchases or for other attractive rewards.

You get access to the online Rewards Centre, where you can redeem your points for discounts and access exclusive VIP rewards. At AMAZINGTOYS® Stores you may well come across the odd surprise.

Our most sought-after products are available only to you, and you receive invitations to special events as well as special VIP offers such as double points.

When will my VIP points be credited to my user account?

Your VIP points are credited automatically within 72 hours of payment for your purchase being received. That gives you plenty of time to set your sights on your next reward. Should your points unexpectedly not be credited, please contact our customer service. We hope you have lots of fun collecting and redeeming your VIP points!

How do I redeem VIP points?

There are two ways:

  • As a discount at checkout: at the very bottom of the last checkout page you will find the box showing your points balance. Use the slider to choose how many points you want to use – 275 points are worth a CHF 1.– discount. You do not have to redeem them all at once; the rest stays in your account.
  • For a reward: in the Rewards Centre you can exchange points for boosters, stickers and collectibles.

Points can only be redeemed in the online shop and cannot be exchanged for cash. You can see your points balance in your customer account under “VIP points”.

Can I give my VIP points to someone else?

Your VIP points at AMAZINGTOYS® and at the AMAZINGTOYS® Store are personal and tailored specifically to your account. Unfortunately, we cannot transfer points between accounts or pass on VIP points as a gift. This guarantees the exclusivity and personal character of your VIP experience. Discover exciting rewards and benefits that are available only to you.

Trading Card Games

Card condition grading
Near Mint cards
Near Mint (NM)
Near Mint cards, NM for short, are in near-new condition and show minimal or no wear from play or handling; they have an unmarked surface, sharp corners and otherwise flawless edges apart from minimal handling. Cards in near-new condition look “fresh out of the pack”, with edges and surfaces practically free of any flaws.
Lightly Played cards
Lightly Played (LP)
Lightly Played, LP for short, are lightly played cards that may show slight edge or corner wear or possibly minor scratches. There are no major flaws, and the card has fewer than 4 flaws in total. Lightly played holos may be slightly faded or show signs of wear on the card face.
Moderately Played cards
Moderately Played (MP)
Moderately Played, MP for short, are moderately played cards that show moderate wear or flaws visible to the naked eye. Moderately played cards may show edge wear, slight corner wear, water damage, scratches, creases or fading, light dirt, or any combination of these flaws.
Heavily Played cards
Heavily Played (HP)
Heavily Played, HP for short: heavily played cards show signs of heavy wear. Heavily played cards may show creases, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy edge wear and / or tears.
Damaged cards
Damaged (D)
Damaged, or D for short, are damaged cards that show obvious tears, bends or creases which can make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged cards show massive edge wear, possible writing or major discolouration (e.g. white bordered cards with black-marked front edges), massive corner wear, frequent scratches, creases, kinks or tears.

Trade-in & buyback

Yes – we buy Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Magic cards, comics and video games, or trade them for products. This always takes place in person at the AMAZINGTOYS® Store in Zurich, in one of two ways:

  • Bulk cards (commons, uncommons, rares, holos without individual valuation): Tuesday to Saturday during opening hours, no appointment needed. We buy English bulk cards from all four games as well as German Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic cards – no Japanese bulk cards and no energy, code or marker cards.
  • Collections and valuable single cards: only on the announced buyback Saturdays. Take a queue number on site – Thomas values every collection personally, so please allow for waiting time.

All the details, the next buyback days and tips on how to prepare: Buyback & trade-in.

PSA Grading Middleman Service

What is grading?

Card grading is the process in which trading cards are authenticated, inspected and encapsulated to preserve their condition. After inspection, the card receives a grade on a scale of 1-10, based on the condition of the card.

Why should I grade my trading cards?

The benefits of grading your cards include:

  • Proof of authenticity and legitimacy.
  • Potential increase in value for buyers and collectors.
  • Encapsulation and preservation of the condition of the cards.

How can I send cards to PSA Grading?

As an official PSA Dealer, we submit your cards directly to PSA and return them to you in person after grading. This is handled exclusively in person at the AMAZINGTOYS® Store in Zurich – sending cards by post is not possible. Here’s how it works:

  • Fill in the grading form at home and print it out twice (this is not possible at the AMAZINGTOYS® Store).
  • Create a free customer account on amazingtoys.ch if you do not already have one.
  • Place each card in a soft sleeve and then in a Card Saver 1 – toploaders are not accepted.
  • Bring the cards and forms to the AMAZINGTOYS® Store during our opening hours.

Grading costs CHF 125.– per card (regular submission), plus any upcharges from PSA. As soon as your cards are back, we will let you know by email; to collect them, you need the grading form and a valid ID. The complete guide with the form: PSA Grading Service.

Which cards can I have graded?

You can find an overview of what PSA grades at PSA Trading Card Grading; the full set list is in the PSA Population Report (free PSA account required).
PSA accepts many different types of cards, including but not limited to:

  • Pokémon
  • Yu-Gi-Oh!
  • Magic: The Gathering
  • One Piece
  • Weiss Schwarz

We are currently not submitting sports cards for our customers.

How long does grading take?

At present, it generally takes at least 120 and up to 180 working days for your cards to come back.

How can I see the status of my PSA submission?

On our status page you can see at any time where your submission stands – from submission to us and shipment to PSA through to its return. We send each month’s cards to PSA together in the following month; if you submitted in February, you will find your status under “February”. As soon as your cards are back, you will receive an email. Allow at least 120 and up to 180 working days from shipment to PSA.

What is the Declared Value?

The Declared Value (DV) of a card is the estimated value of the card once it has been graded by PSA. Of course, you will not know the true value of the item until it has been graded by PSA, so a little research will help you arrive at a realistic estimate. The declared value serves as the maximum value for PSA’s return insurance and in the event of a claim relating to the item while it is in PSA’s possession. We are always happy to help if you have any questions about the declared value of cards.

What is an upcharge?

If PSA determines that the declared value of a particular item has been stated too low, they reserve the right to apply an “upcharge” to that specific item, in line with the cost of a service with an appropriate declared value limit.

For example, a submission in the Bulk service with a maximum declared value of 200 $ may be upgraded to the Regular service if the value is between 1000 $ and 1499 $, the maximum limit for Regular. The upcharge enables PSA to return the item to amazingtoys.ch with appropriate insurance. The cost of the upcharge is the difference between the original service level and the service required (usually 4–5 % of the card’s current market value at the time of grading).

We advance the cost of this upcharge; it must be paid when you collect your cards.

You can check the value of your card here: PSA VALUE CHECKER

If no value is available on the PSA website, you can check the last sold price on eBay to get an estimated value.

Security

Dealing with phishing emails

Unfortunately, there are cases in which criminals use fake confirmations or payment instructions to try to gain access to your user data and passwords or to request unauthorised payments from you. We take fraud, phishing and spoofing very seriously, and with this article we want to help you recognise potential dangers early on.

How do I identify a phishing email?

Criminals try to gain the trust of potential victims with fake emails from supposedly familiar senders. At first glance, these emails look authentic. On closer inspection, however, the sender address turns out to be incorrect and does not match the name displayed. From AMAZINGTOYS® you will only ever receive emails from the domain @amazingtoys.ch. In general, when dealing with emails, you should always ask yourself whether you have actually ordered something or are expecting a delivery.

I’m not sure whether the email is genuine or not

A common tactic in spam emails is to put the victim under pressure so that there is no time for critical questions. If you are threatened in an email or unusually urgent demands are made, stay calm. If in doubt, you can check directly with our customer service whether the email is legitimate. Important: do not reply to the email you received, otherwise your reply will end up with the attackers.

What should I do if I have received a phishing email?

If you have only opened the phishing email but have not clicked on any links or files, nothing has happened.

However, if you have opened a link or an attached file, or you are not sure, we strongly recommend that you scan all your devices (PC, laptop, tablet and mobile phone) for viruses and change all passwords for your online accounts and email providers.

As a general rule: do not open any attachments or links unless you know exactly what they are. The help pages of your email provider explain how to find information about the sender of a suspicious email.
