Description
Ridge Racer 7 offers a variety of cars, tracks and upgrades. Single players can try to become the best in Career Mode, whilst up to 14 players can compete online for the highest rank in the global system. In the single-player campaign there are a total of 160 races across 22 tracks that wind through environments such as Lost Ruins, Industrial Drive and Shadow Caverns. Players can choose from 40 cars and customise their vehicle with 375,000 decoration options and 7,150 tuning modifications (a new feature in the series). Individual custom builds can be transferred in online multiplayer races, allowing players to showcase their mechanical and aesthetic skills as well as their driving prowess.
New to Ridge Racer gameplay is the addition of slipstreaming. By staying close behind an opponent, players can increase their top speed and quickly overtake the car in front of them. By drifting at high speed, a nitro metre fills with three levels: quick boost, double boost and triple boost.
