At the end of Overlord, you killed the original Overlord and took full control of the land – but someone wasn't happy with that. Your Fool decided to take matters into his own hands and performed a powerful ritual to summon the powers of Hell itself. He succeeded. Strange portals leading into the abyss opened up all over the world. Since this is your empire, you'll investigate and add Hell to your land.
The gameplay of Overlord: Raising Hell remains the same as in the original game, but alongside the new levels there is also a new difficulty level called "Legendary", and down in the Abyss you can now find recipes for unique weapons and armour. Down in the Tower Pit, new challenges always await the Overlord.
Eight new multiplayer maps await, and it's now possible to play in split-screen mode in front of the same computer.
The retail version of Overlord: Raising Hell includes the original game and was only released in Germany (Windows). The PlayStation 3 version includes the original game and the expansion, since the base game was not released for that platform. For Xbox 360 owners, the new content is available as a free download.
