Wolfenstein - Boxed - PS3

Wolfenstein is a first-person shooter in which the player mainly shoots their way through hordes of various Nazi types, ranging from regular soldiers to ninjas. To deal with the large number of enemies, the player has access to many typical WWII weapons such as the German MP40 or the K98 rifle. In addition, over the course of the game they find the medallion and learn four powers. While at first, seeing through the veil only allows them to spot enemies better and use strange flying creatures as bombs, later on they are able to slow down time, surround themselves with a protective shield, or make themselves stronger. However, the medallion's powers consume energy, which must be replenished at energy points that are barely visible in the real world.

After each mission, the player is free to roam Isenstadt, talk to NPCs to receive new missions, and visit the black market. Intelligence material and gold are hidden throughout the levels. While the intel offers additional insight into the story and its characters, the gold can be used on the black market to buy new weapons, ammunition, and weapon upgrades such as silencers or larger magazines. Collecting intel and gold unlocks further upgrades.

The game also features class-based multiplayer modes for up to twelve players. The available classes are the Soldier, who shoots first and asks questions later, the Engineer, who is the only one who can complete all objectives, and the Medic, who can heal and revive fallen allies. The available multiplayer modes are Team Deathmatch, Objective, and Stopwatch. In Objective, the Resistance must destroy the Axis powers' research and experiments while trying to stop them. In Stopwatch, the goal is the same, but the time the Resistance takes to stop the Axis powers is recorded, and the teams swap sides after the round ends. To win the round, the other team must then be faster than the first.
