Wet - Boxed - PS3

WET is a third-person shooter with a strong focus on acrobatic stunts. While Rubi can kill enemies with her four different weapon types (two pistols with unlimited ammo, two shotguns, two SMGs and two crossbows) simply by running around and shooting, this doesn’t do much damage and is very slow. Instead, she has to jump around, slide along the ground or run along walls, which instantly slows down time until she touches the ground again. During these moves, she can also use her two weapons to automatically target one enemy while manually aiming at another with the crosshair. She earns points for every kill, and depending on how fast and "stylish" her kills are, her score multiplier increases up to x5. The multiplier is especially important, since Rubi only regenerates health while the multiplier is active, making her nearly invulnerable once she reaches and successfully maintains x5. The only other way to regenerate her health is by drinking from the whiskey bottles scattered throughout the levels. With the points she collects, she can buy new moves or upgrade existing moves as well as her weapons. She also has access to a sword, which she uses to open doors and take out enemies in melee combat.

In addition to regular combat and the action/adventure-style climbing and jumping sections in between, there are simple quick-time events for boss fights and other scripted events, as well as the so-called Rage Mode. At certain predefined points in the game, Rubi kills an enemy at close range and gets blood on her face. This drives her into a frenzy and transforms the realistic graphics into a red-black-and-white, comic-style world. In Rage Mode, Rubi is nearly invulnerable, faster and hits harder - but also has to deal with far more enemies. Once the player has finished the game, further difficulty levels are unlocked, including an arcade mode in which every enemy can only take one bullet and Rubi also has significantly less health. A score mode is also unlocked, in which the player can select any level from story mode and try to beat their high score, as well as Rubi’s house. In Rubi’s home, an abandoned aircraft graveyard, various challenges await the player, such as getting from A to B in the fastest possible time or shooting targets for points.
