Warriors: Legends of Troy - Boxed - PS3

Warriors: Legends of Troy is a spin-off of Koei's long-running Dynasty Warriors series. Based on Greek mythology as told in Homer's Iliad, players take control of several heroes during the Trojan War, fighting their way through hundreds of enemies and other mythical beasts. Compared to the games in the Dynasty Warriors series, Warriors: Legends of Troy places greater emphasis on more realistic combat and darker animations, making it Koei's first M-rated title in terms of gore and violence.

Players can control eight different heroes, based on two different storylines. Both the Greek and Trojan sides are represented, with Achilles, Ajax, Odysseus and Patroclus for the Greeks, and Aeneas, Hector, Paris and Penthesilea for the Trojans. All characters are controlled from a third-person perspective and each has a different fighting style. They must hack and slash their way through the masses, build combos and use a shield as a weapon as well as a large number of throwing weapons. Weapons left behind by other soldiers can also be picked up and used. The story is driven forward through cutscenes during battles and also includes supernatural elements such as the intervention of gods.
