Description
The American Information Bureau has assembled a team to hunt down and destroy Nightwalkers - modern-day vampires. The player controls John Lloyd, an agent of this team, who is tasked with locating a reconnaissance team that vanished in a city overrun with Nightwalkers. It's up to John and his team to track down the Prime Walker and rid the city of the vampire plague.
The game is played from a third-person perspective and features many stealth elements similar to the Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid series, but also some platforming, exploration, and combat elements. Players often need to make use of darkness to remain undetected for an entire mission. This is further encouraged by exceptionally strong enemies and the lack of effective melee weapons for much of the game. The arsenal of weapons includes a handgun, a submachine gun, an assault rifle, a shotgun, a sniper rifle, an armor-piercing rifle, and a UV knife. Traps are more effective, and large groups of Nightwalkers can be wiped out at once by killing the master known as the Prime Walker.
