Turok - Boxed - PS3

Turok is a first-person shooter set in the near future. There is no connection to the previous games or the plot of the comics. The protagonist is Joseph Turok, a former member of the Wolf Pack (the enemy in this game), but now a member of the Whiskey Company. The mission that led to the events of the game was simple: find Roland Kane (leader of the Wolf Pack and Turok's former mentor) and bring him back to Earth. But things took an ugly turn when the ship was hit by a missile and crashed on the backwater planet. Worse still, it turns out that scientists from the Mendel Gruman Corporation terraformed the planet for accelerated evolution, resulting in dinosaurs hunting Turok, his allies and his enemy. Joseph Turok's task is to survive at all costs.

The game is about surviving in dangerous environments against both human soldiers and dinosaurs. Dinosaurs can be used as a tool to eliminate soldiers by luring them in. All weapons have secondary functions, such as a flare to attract the dinosaurs. Turok can also opt for a stealthy approach with arrows and his trusty knife to brutally kill the dinosaurs. The online multiplayer mode is equipped with all the weapons from single-player mode, and some maps feature dinosaurs and giant scorpions. Game modes include classics such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and entirely new modes inspired by objective-based war games, such as Assault Capture the Flag and co-op missions. They all have a small twist, such as CTF, where the "flag carrier" is fitted with a bait that lures dinosaurs towards the player.
