Description
Timpo Wild West Stagecoach
Figure: Stagecoach (Wild West)Manufacturer: Timpo Toys
Year: 1970s
Condition: New
Timpo Stagecoach as an accessory for the Wild West Figures series by Timpo Toys (approx. 22cm long with the horse team). This is an original from the first half of the 1970s in very good condition. The coach can be taken apart, as is typical for Timpo products (wheels, roof, doors, luggage removable). The coach is from the so-called 2nd generation of Timpo figures.
Timpos are pluggable toy soldiers made of polyethylene (soft, flexible plastic) by the company Timpo Toys from the 1960s and 1970s. The figures are about 5cm tall and consist of several pluggable individual parts that can be combined and reassembled with one another. The Overmoulding process, developed in England in the early 1960s, made painting the figures unnecessary. The individual parts were cast from plastic granulate of different colours on top of one another, creating a lifelike level of detail. Timpos are old collectible figures, and yet are still relatively affordable in most cases.
