Description
Timpo Cowboy Rider with Rifle (Wild West)
Figure: Cowboy rider with rifleManufacturer: Timpo Toys
Year: 1970s
Condition: New
Timpo Cowboy Rider with Rifle from the Wild West series by Timpo Toys (approx. 8 cm tall), original from the first half of the 1970s in mint condition. The figure consists of 11 attachable individual parts: hat, head, neckerchief, upper body, rifle, legs, saddle blanket, saddle, reins, horse, base plate.
Timpos are attachable toy soldiers made of polyethylene (soft, flexible plastic) by the company Timpo Toys from the 1960s and 1970s. The figures are approx. 5 cm tall and consist of several attachable individual parts that can be combined and repositioned with each other. Through the Overmoulding process developed in England in the early 1960s, painting the figures became unnecessary. The individual parts were moulded from plastic granules of different colours over one another, creating a plastic detail fidelity. Timpos are vintage collectible figures, and yet they are usually relatively inexpensive to obtain.
