Description
Timpo ACW Confederate Rider with Pistol
Figure: ACW (American Civil War) Confederate Rider with PistolManufacturer: Timpo Toys
Year: 1970s
Condition: New
Timpo ACW Confederate Rider with Pistol from the Wild West Series by Timpo Toys (approx. 8cm tall with horse). This is an original from the first half of the 1970s in near-mint condition. The figure consists of 10 interchangeable individual parts (hat, head, neckscarf, torso, legs, pistol, horse, saddle, reins, base plate) and can be combined with other Timpo figures by interchanging parts.
Timpos are interchangeable toy soldiers made of polyethylene (soft, flexible plastic) by the company Timpo Toys from the 1960s and 1970s. The figures are approximately 5cm tall and consist of several interchangeable individual parts that can be combined and reconfigured with each other. Through the overmoulding process, developed in early 1960s England, painting the figures became unnecessary. The individual parts were moulded from plastic granules of different colours layered on top of each other, creating fine detail. Timpos are vintage collectible figures, and yet are usually relatively affordable.
