Description
Timpo ACW Confederate Soldier with Pistol (Wild West)
Figure: ACW (American Civil War) Confederate soldier with pistolManufacturer: Timpo Toys
Year: 1970s
Condition: New
Timpo ACW Confederate soldier with pistol from the Wild West series by Timpo Toys (approx. 5 cm tall). This is an original from the 1970s in good condition. The figure has the older head version and the older dark blue trousers (as opposed to the light blue trousers of later generations of soldiers) and consists of 7 pluggable individual parts (hat, head, neckerchief, torso, legs, pistol, base plate) and can be combined with other Timpo figures by swapping parts.
Timpos are pluggable toy soldiers made of polyethylene (soft, flexible plastic) by the company Timpo Toys from the 1960s and 1970s. The figures are approx. 5 cm tall and consist of several pluggable individual parts that can be combined and swapped with one another. Thanks to the overmoulding process developed in England in the early 1960s, painting the figures became unnecessary. The individual parts were cast from plastic granulate of different colours on top of one another, resulting in lifelike detail. Timpos are old collectible figures, and are still relatively affordable to obtain.
