Description
Timpo 2 Cowboys with Pistols and Knife (Wild West)
Figures: 2 cowboys with pistols and knifeManufacturer: Timpo Toys
Year: 1970s
Condition: New
2 Timpo Cowboys with pistols and knife from the Wild West series by Timpo Toys (approx. 5cm tall). These are two original figures from the first half of the 1970s in as-new condition. The figures consist of 9 or 10 interchangeable individual parts: hat, head, neckerchief, torso, gun belt, legs, 2 pistols/knife, base plate. Both figures can be taken apart and reassembled in new combinations.
Timpos are interchangeable toy soldiers made of polyethylene (a soft, flexible plastic) by the company Timpo Toys from the 1960s and 1970s. The figures are approx. 5cm tall and consist of several interchangeable individual parts that can be combined and swapped with one another. The overmoulding process, developed in England in the early 1960s, made painting the figures unnecessary. The individual parts were cast from plastic granulate of different colours, layered on top of one another, resulting in vivid, true-to-detail modelling. Timpos are old collectible figures, yet they are usually still relatively affordable.
