Description
Timpo 2 Confederates with Rifle and Flag (Wild West)
Figures: 2ACW (American Civil War) Confederates with rifle and flagManufacturer: Timpo Toys
Year: 1970s
Condition: New
Timpo 2 ACW Confederates with Rifle and Flag from the Wild West series by Timpo Toys (approx. 5cm tall). These are original figures from the first half of the 1970s in as-new condition, consisting of 6 or 8 interlocking parts respectively: hat/cap, head, neckerchief, torso, legs, flagpole, flag, stand. Both toy soldiers can be taken apart and reassembled in different combinations.
Timpos are interlocking toy soldiers made of polyethylene (a soft, flexible plastic) by the company Timpo Toys from the 1960s and 1970s. The figures are approx. 5cm tall and consist of several interlocking parts that can be combined and rearranged. Thanks to the Overmoulding process, developed in England in the early 1960s, painting the figures became unnecessary. The individual parts were cast in layers from plastic granulate of different colours, creating a sculpted level of detail. Timpos are old collectible figures, and yet still relatively affordable in most cases.
