Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan - Boxed - PS3

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is a 3D fighting game featuring the four Turtles Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael, all of whom are playable. The game takes place in New York, where the Foot Clan is involved in criminal activities. The Turtles step in, but their journalist friend April Ryan believes this is the precursor to something bigger. Many familiar villains return, such as Bebop, Krang, Rocksteady, Shredder, Slash and Wingnut. In single-player mode, players can switch between the four Turtles at any time, with the remaining three always controlled by the AI. Cooperative gameplay for four players is only possible in online multiplayer.

Across nine stages, the Turtles must take down groups of enemies and bosses using a wide range of moves that can be chained into combos. Each Turtle has a different fighting style and a unique ability, such as slowing down time. General items include health-restoring pizzas, deployable turrets and bombs. The environment can be scanned to track down enemies, and traversal includes parkour-like actions to climb up the sides of buildings, as well as parachutes to glide over rooftops. Green orbs can be collected along the way to earn combat points, which can be used to upgrade abilities. There is an experience system and a range of passive abilities earned by achieving high ranks in missions. Downed Turtles can be revived, but if this doesn't happen in time, they are sent back to their hideout and must take part in a mini-game where they have to eat pizza to return. In addition to combat, tasks include defusing bombs, destroying objects and infiltrating hideouts.
