Description
Supremacy MMA is a mixed martial arts fighting game that, compared to the current UFC Undisputed titles, feels more like an arcade game. Instead of a full 3D view, the fight screen is reminiscent of the 2D perspective of classic fighting games such as Street Fighter or Tekken. A lot of emphasis is placed on the visual depiction of the results of the graphic violence, as the fighters show bruises and swollen faces, and blood spatters on the floor.
The main game mode is called Supremacy Stories. Some characters are modelled on real athletes, including Jens Pulver, Jerome Le Banner, Malaipet and – as one of two female fighters – Felice Herrig. Supremacy MMA is the first game to introduce female fighters into an MMA video game.
Alongside the classic VS fight and online mode, there is a Supremacy Stories mode for each character. There are also two tournament modes, Battle Royale and Survival Ladder.
