Description
Stuntman: Ignition is a game based on the original 2002 game Stuntman. Players take on the role of a Hollywood stunt driver working for a film studio. Each level is modelled on a film, and players must drive through the level while earning points by performing stunts. After the end of each level, players can review their performance by watching the film trailer that has been created.
There are six films to choose from, each with different settings, objectives and challenges: Aftershock, Whoopin and a Hollerin' II, Strike Force Omega, Overdrive, Never Kill Me Again and Night Avenger. Each film consists of 6 scenes in which the director's specified objectives must be pursued. Progressing requires a successful series of stunts, but the number of points can be increased by linking them together and creating additional hazards through drifting, catching air or getting close to other cars and obstacles.
The multiplayer part offers 2 game modes. In Backlot Battle, players must perform as many stunts as possible within a set number of rounds. Backlot Race offers a simple race in which boost is earned through stunts. The PS2 version offers offline gameplay only, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions support multiplayer via DemonWare middleware.
