Street Fighter X Tekken - Boxed - PS3

Street Fighter X Tekken is a crossover between the two Japanese fighting game series Tekken and Street Fighter. It's a 2D Street Fighter game featuring the series' trademark style, but with licensed characters from the Tekken series.

The game uses the visual style introduced with Street Fighter IV and includes core moves such as Super Combos and EX Attacks. The focus is on tag-team gameplay, in which players can quickly switch between characters during a fight, including in the middle of complex combos. These attacks are called Cross Rush, Cross Arts and Cross Assault. The win condition is that the first player whose character runs out of life points loses, rather than the whole team having to be defeated. Most special attacks are performed by filling a three-stage Cross Gauge to activate them. Street Fighter characters use the classic six-button system, while Tekken characters instead rely on a four-button system used in that series.

This game introduces two completely new systems. With the Gem system, players can select three gems for their characters that boost attack, defence, speed, vitality, support and Cross Gauge stats. These are activated by meeting certain conditions during battle. Second, Pandora Mode allows a character with less than 25 life points to sacrifice themselves so the other character gains more power and an infinite Cross Gauge. However, this effect is time-limited, and if the opponent isn't defeated quickly, the match is lost. Both local and online multiplayer are supported across various game modes.
