Description
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes bridges the gap between the first and second seasons of the animated TV series. In the game, the player learns more about the mysterious bounty hunter Cad Bane and hunts the brand-new Skakoan supervillain Kul Teska, in a gameplay style very similar to that of Lego Star Wars.

The game is fully designed for two-player drop-in/drop-out co-op. This means that in every mission of this third-person action-adventure, two famous characters from the TV series appear, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Padawan Ahsoka, and Captain Rex, though separated by class. Players control either commando or Jedi characters - never a mix of both, as they have completely different abilities and limitations. If a second player isn't available, the AI automatically takes over the second character and helps overcome the many obstacles that lie ahead - mostly in the form of various types of Separatist droids. While players can fend them off with their lightsaber or blaster, the Jedi characters also have the option of riding the droids by jumping on them from behind. This is not only useful for breaking through enemy lines, but is also used to solve certain puzzles that block the characters' progress. In addition, the droids can be forced to dance with any other droid on screen that follows their lead, rendering them defenceless. These dances are unique to each droid and must first be purchased in the shop. There you'll also find funny masks and combat upgrades such as stronger blasters or a more powerful Force Push.

To buy these things, the player must first unlock them and then invest points earned by killing enemies as well as by successfully completing missions or mini-games. These mini-games are scattered throughout the levels and appear once a certain section has been completed. Most of the time, the goal is to kill as many enemies as possible in a short time. Every kill in a row, both in the normal game and in the mini-games, increases the multiplier and brings in even more points. If a player dies, they are revived at the next checkpoint, either immediately when playing alone, or after the second player has reached one - in both cases without penalties.
