Star Wars Battlefront [Platinum] - OVP - PS2 - DE

After countless games depicting various aspects of the rich Star Wars universe (including some we never wanted to see), players get the chance, for the first time in gaming history, to step into the boots of the average soldier in the wars that raged across the galaxy. The gameplay follows the successful benchmarks set by Battlefield 1942, but the battles in Battlefront are even bigger and more intense, there are more vehicles, and the famous spaceships are included as well.
There are three different game modes to play: Historical Campaign (with a series of “historical” battles from Star Wars lore), Conquest (in which players fight for dominance over individual planets) and, of course, Instant Action. Two factions are at war in the game: Republic versus Separatists and Rebel Alliance versus Galactic Empire. Each faction has four standard unit types (soldier, heavy weapons trooper, scout and pilot) as well as a fifth, special unit that differs fundamentally for each side. Famous Jedi and Sith only appear as NPCs in selected battles. Finally, the game offers almost all the vehicles from the films, which the player can fly, drive or hover to gain the upper hand.
