Description
South Park: The Stick of Truth is an RPG based on the South Park series. You play a new kid (Douchebag, known as Cartman) who has just arrived in the town of South Park, Colorado. You’re immediately thrown into a battle of epic proportions as you team up with many characters like Kenny and Butters to retrieve the magical Stick of Truth from the evil elves.
At the start of the adventure, you choose between four different classes: Fighter, Mage, Thief and Jew. Your appearance is fully customisable at any time, as you can find new outfits and accessories around town. Social networks are an important feature of the game. When you meet new characters, they become friends with you on the social network Facebook. Things like quests, your inventory, the town map and more are shown on your profile page. Your friends post messages to your wall from time to time and give you tips on how to solve quests or where to find certain characters.
Visually, the game is designed to look like an episode of the TV series. The story, written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, is set after the Black Friday trilogy of episodes from season 17. Combat is turn-based and uses the HP/PP system found in many other games. When you take damage, your HP goes down, and when you use your abilities/magic to deal damage, your PP is used up. HP/PP are fully restored after every battle. The character can grow stronger by changing their equipment and gaining experience in combat. After reaching a certain amount of XP, the character levels up and gains upgrade points. These points are then used to improve your own abilities. Reaching a certain number of characters unlocks various perks that help in combat. More
