South Park: The Stick of Truth is an RPG based on the South Park series. You play a new boy (Douchebag, known as Cartman), who has just arrived in the town of South Park, Colorado. You are immediately thrown into a battle of epic proportions as you team up with many characters like Kenny and Butters to obtain the magical Stick of Truth from the evil elves.
At the beginning of your adventure, you have a choice between four different classes: Warrior, Mage, Thief and Jew. Your appearance can be fully customised at any time, as you can find new outfits and accessories throughout the city. Social networks are an important feature of the game. When you meet new characters, they befriend you via the social network Facebook. Things like quests, your inventory, the city map and more are displayed on your profile page. Your friends post messages to your wall from time to time and give you tips on how to solve quests or where to find certain characters.
The game is visually designed to look like an episode of the television series. The story, written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, takes place after the Black Friday trilogy from season 17. Combat is turn-based and based on the HP/PP system used in many other games. When you take damage, your HP decreases, and when you use your skills/magic to deal damage, your PP is consumed. HP/PP are fully restored after each battle. The character can become stronger by changing their equipment and gaining experience in combat. After reaching a certain amount of experience points, the character levels up and receives upgrade points. These points are then used to improve your own abilities.
