Sonic: Colors - Nintendo DS

Dr. Eggman wants to change his ways and open a huge new theme park that floats rather strangely above the planet. Sonic, wary of his arch-nemesis, visits the theme park and discovers the true story behind the villainy: the park exists thanks to an alien race called Wisps, powerful creatures that Dr. Eggman has kidnapped. Sonic agrees to free them from the amusement park, but he won't be able to do it without the Wisps' help.

As a return to classic Sonic platforming, Sonic Colors uses the full width of both Nintendo DS screens to deliver a 2D side-scrolling adventure with colourful dimensions. Sonic can draw on the Wisps' unique abilities, such as drilling deep underground or shooting high into the air, to help him search for the Chaos Emeralds and thwart Dr. Eggman's dangerous plan. Sonic has six Wisps at his disposal, though their effect only lasts for a limited time. Four of them, White, Blue, Yellow and Orange, resemble the Wisps seen in the handheld game's big brother, Sonic Colors for the Nintendo Wii. Two further Wisps, Red (turns Sonic into a deadly fireball) and Velvet (lets Sonic float in the air and suck up nearby rings and items), are exclusive to the DS platform.

A multiplayer mode is included, letting two players compete against each other across multiple levels to be the first to reach the final goal, as well as a time attack mode.
