Description
SingStar: Dance is, as the name suggests, a mix of karaoke and dance game. The karaoke part remains unchanged: the player(s) sing into a microphone and the game awards points for performance. The only scoring criterion is whether the right note is hit with the right timing; the words sung or the octave don't matter.
The dance component requires the use of the PlayStation Move controller. Part of the music video is then covered by a dancer performing to the song. The player's task is to copy these moves to score points. It's possible to ignore one of the two components, since one person can't do both at once, or to split the tasks between several players.
