Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes [Promo Not For Resale] - Boxed - PS3

Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes is the third instalment in the series known to English-speaking audiences as Devil Kings. The game plays very similarly to a more arcade-oriented version of Dynasty Warriors, but much more exaggerated and in an anime style. The game also serves as a prequel to the storyline of the anime series.

There are more than a dozen leaders to choose from, each with their own unique weapon and fighting style. Each character also has their own story in Hero Story mode, with several paths depending on which locations the player chooses to conquer. Winning a battle not only advances the story but also raises the character's level through experience earned in battle, as well as bonus experience for special requirements or secrets discovered on the battlefield. Higher levels don't just offer better stats, but also new abilities for the characters. New weapons, items, accessories, allies and resources are also awarded. The resources can be used to craft various accessories that make the heroes and their weapons even more powerful.

There's also a Quick Battle mode, which lets players replay any battlefield they've already played. The selectable characters and discovered items are universal and complement each other, so all items and levels earned in one mode carry over seamlessly to the other mode. Both modes also support two-player split-screen mode.
