Rogue Warrior - Boxed - PS3

Richard Marcinko, also known as Rogue Warrior, is a former member of the US Navy SEALs, primarily known for the alleged disclosure of the so-called "Red Cell" operations, which he and his team are said to have carried out as covert missions against real terrorists. However, the game takes place in North Korea and the USSR in 1986. In the role of Marcinko, the player must obtain information about ballistic missile launch ramps. And although his comrades are killed shortly after entering the mission area, Marcinko continues the mission alone to eventually uncover and eliminate a greater threat to the USA.

The game is a first-person shooter with a touch of stealth mixed in. From Marcinko's perspective, the player can either sneak through the levels and eliminate enemies with brutal kill moves or a silenced pistol. Or he can storm ahead with the huge selection of real-world weapons such as the SPAS-12 shotgun or the AK-47 assault rifle, although only two weapons can be carried at once. But since Marcinko is not invulnerable either, it's not always a good idea to just storm ahead. To keep the player from being hit, Marcinko can take cover behind objects. The camera then switches to a 3rd-person over-the-shoulder perspective and allows the player to either blind fire or duck out of cover to shoot targets.

The game also offers a multiplayer mode for up to eight players in deathmatch or team deathmatch on maps inspired by, but not directly copied from, the single-player campaign.
