Description
The Alternative Edition (also known as the Gold Edition) of Resident Evil 5, released exactly one year after the original version, includes the complete game plus a wealth of extras.
The original save data is compatible, so the player can use it to unlock new costumes and the like.
Two new chapters have been added: "Lost in Nightmares" follows Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as they re-enter the infamous mansion, bringing the mood of the original Resident Evil into Resident Evil 5's gameplay. "Desperate Escape" focuses on what happened to Jill after the fight with Chris and Sheba in the original Resident Evil 5.
Four new costumes are added: Exoskeleton and Warrior costume for Chris, as well as Clerical and Folklore costume for Sheba. Further bonus content includes the "The Mercenaries Reunion" mode, in which you try to defeat as many enemies as possible within a time limit, the "Versus" online mode, and ten new unlockable figurines to collect.
