Real Football 2008 - Nintendo DS - DE

Real Soccer 2008 3D is the third 3D game in the Real Football series, but the first to be played entirely in 3D with polygonal player models and stadiums. In addition to the new graphics, the game offers similar content and mechanics to the 2D version. The view is still from the sideline as in the previous 3D versions, but there is a side camera that rotates slightly. The playback system is also more advanced, as it is possible to rotate the camera and view the action from different perspectives. The 3D version features the same game modes as the 2D version. These include friendly matches, cups and leagues as well as the new modes Road to 2008 and Challenge. Road to 2008 is about qualifying for and participating in Euro 2008, whilst the Challenge mode consists of a series of real football scenarios in which the player must complete tasks. The Nintendo DS version differs from the mobile version in some respects. It features a multiplayer mode, but does not have the Challenge mode. There are also some additional gameplay features that make use of the DS features. It is possible to shout at the referee via the microphone to influence their decisions, whilst the stylus on the touch screen is used to take penalty shots.
