Rayman Legends - Boxed - PS3

Rayman Legends is a 2D platformer and a sequel to Rayman Origins. Following the events of the previous game, Rayman, Globox and the Teensies have fallen into a centuries-long sleep. During this time, new nightmares have appeared in the world and the Magician (who was defeated in Rayman Origins) has split into five Dark Teensies. These nightmares and Dark Teensies have captured the princesses of the land (including the new playable character Barbara) and other Teensies. Naturally, Rayman and his friends are once again awoken to set things right.

Rayman Legends retains the graphical style and most of the gameplay elements of Rayman Origins. Up to four players can move simultaneously through side-scrolling levels, defeat enemies and collect Lums. Each level has a set number of Teensies to rescue, which unlock new levels and worlds. All abilities from the previous game (wall-run, air-glide, etc.) are available to the characters from the start, but a few new gimmicks are added, such as the ability to fire projectiles in some levels. Murfy, the green bottle, appears in some levels to help players. At the press of a button, he operates machinery, pokes larger enemies and opens passages for the characters. In some versions of the game, a fifth player can control Murfy's movement.

The game features regular side-scrolling levels, “invaded” versions of levels that must be completed as quickly as possible, and rhythm-based levels with a soundtrack made up of humorous covers of well-known songs. In addition, forty reworked levels from Rayman Origins can be unlocked by collecting Lucky Tickets. The game offers daily and weekly challenges and a local multiplayer football minigame called Kung Foot.
