Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - Boxed - PS3

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One takes place after the events of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, but isn't necessarily part of the Future sub-series. Players can play as Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark or the series' regular antagonist, Dr. Nefarious.

The story revolves around a new, unknown enemy and a situation originally caused by Dr. Nefarious in order to destroy the other three. However, Dr. Nefarious is unsuccessful, except that he sends all four of them into a machine called the Creature Collector, setting in motion a classic story in which the good guys work together with the bad guy for a common goal.

The gameplay is typical of the Ratchet & Clank series, part platformer, part sci-fi shooter, with the exception that All 4 One is the first game in the series to offer 4-player co-op gameplay both online and offline. Bolts are still collected during the game and serve as currency, but also as a kind of competitive score for multiplayer mode. Nanotech still refills health points, although now teammates can revive downed players, similar to other modern multiplayer games like Borderlands or Left 4 Dead. The ever-present wrench remains a core pillar of the series. Multiplayer gameplay takes place on a single game screen rather than split-screen, which perhaps allows for an unprecedented level of action and chaos on screen for this series. Coloured circles appear beneath each character to help you keep track of them during the action.
