Description
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is the final instalment of Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank Future trilogy, following Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty.

During the events of the two previous games, Clank is kidnapped by the mysterious Zoni, led by the evil mastermind Dr. Nefarious, and Ratchet feels completely alone in the vast universe. Together with Captain Qwark and Talwyn, he sets out to rescue Clank from Nefarious's clutches. Along the way, he discovers the truth about his Lombax past and the secrets of time hidden within the Great Clock.

The gameplay is the same as in the series' other puzzle-platformers. Ratchet travels to various planets, smashes crates for bolts, and upgrades the various weapons in his arsenal while defeating enemies and using gadgets like hoverboots and the grind boots.

However, the game also features some new gameplay mechanics, such as flying through space and the ability to manipulate time. Ratchet can fly freely through space with his spaceship and land on moons to acquire the special items found there. Clank now has the ability to manipulate time: with a new staff, he can rewind time and record his actions to outwit villains and solve puzzles.
