Rage - Boxed - PS3

Aldynes is a horizontally scrolling sci-fi shoot-'em-up. The player-controlled spaceship can acquire power-ups that either turn its standard vulcan cannon into lasers firing either straight ahead or in various directions, or improve the firepower of an already equipped weapon. A special power-up adds a small ship that fights alongside the player-controlled spaceship; collecting further power-ups of the same kind adds more ships. These ships can be instructed to stay behind and repeat the firing patterns of the player-controlled ship, or to shoot at enemies following their own AI.

The player-controlled fighter has no hit points and loses one life every time it is hit. There are seven stages in total, each ending with a massive boss battle.
