Description

Console: Nintendo DS
Language: German
Condition: Used / Good Condition

Let the alien trap snap shut!

The water ball falls at just the right angle onto the trigger of the laser beam, whose line of fire is perfectly redirected by a previously placed pane of glass, destroying the enemy spaceship. The resulting explosion pushes a fan into the correct position, using wind power to drive the remaining evil alien straight towards the killer flower positioned with pinpoint precision beforehand.

That's how a cleverly planned alien trap works in the humorous puzzle game Mechanic Master 2 — the sequel to the successful puzzle adventure for the Nintendo DS! Sounds complicated? It's actually child's play and huge fun! You're on the side of the peace-loving green aliens and must protect the planet from an invasion by the nasty purple adversaries. Rise up against this overwhelming force with wonderfully wacky, carefully planned chain reactions. All you need is a bit of brainpower and creativity — the intuitive controls and the many self-explanatory objects for building ingenious traps take care of the rest.

Well-planned chain reactions

Across more than 100 levels, your task is to ensure the survival of the green aliens. At the start of each level, you place objects on the DS screen, then use the “Play” button to trigger a chain reaction like no other. The goal: to take down every last purple alien! As the difficulty increases, you can watch in real time as your trap snaps shut — or goes completely wrong and maybe even sends one of your buddies to alien heaven. You have access to an imagination-sparking assortment of over 60 objects: rockets, robots, fans, saw blades, balloons, magnets, umbrellas, weights and much more. You won't believe what you can set off with a simple ball! The wonderfully absurd animations then guarantee a few laughs and keep sparking your creativity again and again.

The option to take objects apart into their individual pieces and then recombine them opens up a world of possibilities: why not try fitting the otherwise stationary robot with the available wheels, after first equipping it with one of the saw blades? You'll be amazed! There are no limits to what's possible. If the purple fellow still hasn't vanished, it's time to fine-tune your plan and give it another go! A special incentive for building perfect traps are the golden stars scattered throughout every level. Can you arrange your physics masterpieces so that objects and aliens collect every star on their way to the eternal hunting grounds?

Devise – Build – Trigger – Improve – Snap!

In addition to the classic mode, in which you choose from the objects on offer to free the green aliens, you also have access to a drawing mode and an editor mode. In drawing mode, you use the Nintendo DS stylus to draw portals, walls or slides directly onto the touchscreen, giving you extra control over the on-screen action.

In the clearly laid-out editor mode, you can easily create your own levels — the perfect foundation for endless fun. Choose from all the platforms, objects, aliens and machines from classic mode. You can also decide which objects may be used to solve your level. Let your imagination run wild! Then simply play your own creations yourself, or even better — send them to your friends via the Nintendo DS's Wi-Fi connection. Let's see if they're clever enough for your creations!
