Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is the sequel to the 2D fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.
The game lets you field all three players (instead of two, with the third only used for special attacks in the previous game).
There are now up to 56 characters you can use (most of which you have to unlock), including new characters such as Jill Valentine from Resident Evil and Tron Bonne from Mega Man Legends.
Another new gameplay feature lets your teammates jump in during battle to give you a small health boost. This helps in survival mode to bridge the gap, but they can also be hit by incoming attacks from the opponent.
