Last Window: The Secret of Cape West is an adventure video game. It's a sequel to Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and shares the same protagonist, Kyle Hyde. Kyle is a former police officer. It's set in 1980, a year after Hotel Dusk: Room 215. The characters in the game look as though they were drawn in pencil. Last Window plays exactly like its predecessor, Hotel Dusk. The touchscreen shows a map of the surroundings with your own character on it, while the top screen shows the view through Kyle Hyde's eyes. The game can be controlled either with the stylus, to guide Kyle around the map, or with the D-pad. The goal is to talk to other characters and gather information to solve the mysteries surrounding Kyle Hyde. One of the main differences between Last Window and Hotel Dusk is how they handle different decisions. Whereas in Hotel Dusk a wrong decision is punished with a game over screen, in Last Window the story itself changes instead of the game ending immediately.
