Harvest Moon Island of Happiness - Nintendo DS - EN

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness is the fourth instalment in the Harvest Moon series for the DS. In this version, the player takes control of one of two main characters, Mark or Chelsea, who have been shipwrecked on an island that was once inhabited but has since been abandoned. Together with other survivors of the shipwreck, the player must bring the island back to life by building a farm and encouraging people from outside to move to the island. The gameplay involves using either the stylus or the D-pad and face buttons to equip tools and items. Players can raise livestock such as cows, chickens, sheep and other animals. A dog and a horse can be unlocked later in the game by reaching certain achievements and used for special purposes: the dog serves to protect the livestock, while the horse is used for transport and farm work. Once the player gets their farm up and running, more and more people come to the island and open shops, where the player can buy further items and equipment and meet new friends. In addition, after the halfway point of the game, the player can marry one of six different bachelors or bachelorettes, which can unlock new items and goals. There are also Wi-Fi features that let players place their game on a worldwide leaderboard and chat with other players via the DS's microphone.
