Description
In this boxing simulation featuring heavyweight champion George Foreman, the player must take on the role of Foreman and face a series of twelve rounds against various boxers to win the championship belt. The game is played from a third-person perspective over the boxer's shoulder. The player can move left and right to dodge incoming punches, block and throw punches to the left and right. The standard punch is a cross, but by holding the up button you can also throw jabs. When you dodge and land punches, a super punch often becomes available that deals much more damage. A fight consists of a maximum of three rounds of three minutes each. If a boxer goes down four times, the fight is over (technical knockout). The same happens if a boxer goes down three times in one round (regular knockout). If he has gone down, the player must press both punch buttons in quick succession to get back up. An energy display is shown on screen which is consumed when punching. After a knockdown and during breaks, some energy is restored. All versions, with the exception of Game Boy, can be played with two players. A password system is used to save progress.
