If you love Fords and racing, you can live out your fantasies in Ford Racing 2.
Drive Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Concept Cars, Stock Cars, exotic sports and racing cars — even F-Series Pick-ups. Choose from 32 models, legendary classics as well as futuristic supercars, such as the Ford GT (classified in the game under these categories: Living Legends, Movie Stars, SVT, Concept, Off Road, Custom and Stock Car).
The 16 graphically detailed locations include street racing tracks, off-road (across desert and jungle terrain), high-speed oval tracks and race tracks. There are various competition types to test your driving skills, including: Time Attack, Elimination, Racing Line, Driving Skills and more.
You choose the level of driving control you want. Standard gives you automatic transmission, anti-lock braking system and traction control. Choose Advanced for more precise driving with a manual transmission and more options. Learn the game controls in "Quick Race", which automatically selects a car for you and sends you to a preset track. Then select "Single Player" to race against computer opponents, or "Multiplayer" for a head-to-head race with a friend. Choose from various types of background music (rock, funk, etc.) to further personalise your experience.
The views can be switched between 1st and 3rd person. In ego perspective on the screen, the speedometer, tachometer and rear-view mirror are displayed, as well as a map on the left side showing your current location and nearby competitors. The dashboards of classic cars also differ from those of more modern cars. Depending on the viewing angle, you see your lap times, your overall position, the RPM and the speed.
