Description
Dropship is an action game set in the year 2050. Terrorist attacks have increased sharply, which is why the world's major nations have decided to found the UPF, the "United Peace Force", replacing the UN and NATO. It is a globally operating anti-terror army.
But there is another group operating globally: a heavily militarised drug syndicate. When an attack on a peace convoy in Colombia is linked to this cartel, the UPF begins investigating. A central base and training camp of the drug cartel is believed to be somewhere in Libya. The UPF sets up a base in this country and begins the search for the criminals.
The player is a recently recruited UPF soldier and pilot. Over the course of the campaign, which spans 20 fairly long missions, they can move and fight on foot, in tanks and in various other ground vehicles, but most of the time they will be piloting a dropship, of either the assault, defence or transport class. Dropships can operate in both hover and flight mode and carry a large amount of weapons and cargo.
Dropship simulates a massive, global conflict in which the player takes part in the entire course of events. Six training missions make it easier to learn the game's controls.
