DreamWorks Super Star Kartz - Boxed - PS3

Description
The gameplay is fairly typical for kart racers, particularly for the aforementioned Mario Kart series. There are instant boosts from the starting line, numerous weapons, jumps and, of course, cartoon characters riding small go-karts. Each character has a special move, known as the Star Move, which is activated once the player collects five stars on the track. Many items can be thrown forwards or fired behind the player, and some items come in sets of either one or three. Weapons and items include banana peels, protection potions (acting like a shield), Viking shields (which are defensive and can be thrown as projectiles), exploding pumpkins, rockets, hornets' nests, Quantonium and frog balloons. Players can perform stunts in the air, drive behind rival karts, and use the classic kart-racer standard of drifting around corners.
As is typical for kart racers, the game's focus is on circuit racing across several cups, with each cup featuring three tracks themed around all the Dreamworks films in the game. Gold, silver or bronze medals are awarded depending on performance and placement when crossing the finish line. Alongside circuit mode, there's time trial, a battle mode and a challenge mode. Challenge mode offers special challenges, such as racing using only Star Moves or racing with no weapons or items at all. There are also several dozen Dreamworks logos scattered throughout the game to be collected, some during time trials and others during physical races.
