Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012 - Boxed - PS3

Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012 is a hunting game in FPS style where the player participates in a hunting competition that takes place at various locations around the world. The game can be played with a standard controller or with the Cabela's Top Shot Elite peripheral device. When the game is played with a controller, it functions similarly to a modern first-person shooter.

The story revolves around a hunting tournament where the player is one of the participants. In each level there are three hunts with a variety of animals and challenges as well as bonus challenges. A hunt may consist of hunting a red deer, but the bonus may consist of shooting it in the heart. In each stage there is plenty of dialogue between the tournament participants, in which most of the story is told. The hunts take place in areas around the world, including Montana and Nigeria, and there are three levels for each location.

In addition to story mode, there are a number of shooting ranges listed as arcade, reflex and target. In arcade it's simply about achieving the highest score, in reflex the animals must be hunted in a specific order, and in target it's about simple shooting ranges with wooden "pop-up" animals and clay pigeons that you can shoot at.
