Arthur And The Invisibles - Boxed - PS2

Arthur and the Invisibles: The Game is an action-adventure based on the mostly animated film by director Luc Besson, who also wrote the children's books it's based on. It follows the film's plot after the live-action portion, in which a boy must save his grandmother's house from a greedy property developer by finding a treasure his grandfather lost while searching for it in the magical land of the tiny Minimoys. When the boy, Arthur, enters a portal to their land, he shrinks and changes his appearance so that he too looks like a Minimoy. Arthur and his two friends, Princess Selenia and her brother Betameche, try to save the Minimoys from certain doom.
There's a tutorial that teaches you how to move and fight, and how to move objects and flip switches. The story begins when a Minimoy ceremony is disrupted by hostile mosquitoes. You have to alternate between all three characters and use each one's special abilities to fight, solve puzzles, fly and drive. Arthur can smash cobwebs and climb, while Selenia can cut through foliage and Betameche can crawl through small spaces and carries an upgradable projectile weapon. To open gates and progress through the game, enemies carrying special keys must be defeated. In one scene, they ride a mosquito through a cave, shooting other mosquitoes out of the air. There are also racing sections. Scenes from the film drive the story from one location to the next.
