Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel - Boxed - PS3

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is the third instalment in the Army of Two third-person shooter series. In this game, the player moves away from the protagonists of the first two games, Salem and Rios, and plays as two different Tactical Worldwide Operations (T.W.O.) agents, Alpha and Bravo. Alpha and Bravo are hired by a Mexican mayor named Cordova, who tasks the two with taking down the ruthless drug cartel La Guadana and its leader Esteban Bautista.

As with its predecessors, the game revolves around co-op play. The focus is now less on interaction between two players to master situations, and more on regular shoot-outs. In addition to the already established cooperative base, this instalment offers far more customisation options. Masks, gear items and weapons are now all customisable to suit the player's preferences. The new destructible environment also adds a new aspect to the game, allowing players to destroy and manipulate the surroundings to their own advantage. The scoring system is based on kills and is rewarded with money, which also serves as experience. Depending on the approach chosen, different rewards can be earned. Killing enemies also fills an overkill gauge. Once full, a mode can be activated in which the character becomes invulnerable for a short time and gains unlimited ammunition, slowed time and increased damage. Overkill can be applied to a single character or to both.
