The game features new co-op moves that can be performed to plan and execute new strategies, flanking and surprising the enemy. The weapon customisation interface is also back, with more weapon parts, paint jobs, and add-ons that offer diverse tactical options on the battlefield.
Mercenaries have no rules of engagement, but they do have values. Throughout the story, several cooperative decisions will need to be made. It's up to the players to decide whether they want to save innocents on their way out of Shanghai or if they're only in it for the money...
A new, revamped multiplayer mode is also available, allowing up to 10 players to fight simultaneously. Four different modes are available: Partner Deathmatch, Warzone, Control, and Extraction.
