CGC grading costs:

Modern comic (from 1975): CHF 59.00

Vintage comic (up to 1974): CHF 69.00

1. Fill in the grading form

Fill in the grading form completely. (Download the form)

Please print two copies (2x) of the completed form in landscape format on one A4 page.

2. Pack your comics correctly

Pack your comics in a clear comic sleeve with a backing board. 

Repeat this step for every comic.

Make sure the order of the comics matches the list from the grading form.

If you haven’t already: please print two copies (2x) of the completed form in landscape format on one A4 page.

IMPORTANT: for every comic that is not properly prepared, we charge a surcharge of CHF 2.50 to cover our time and materials.

4. Grading Status and Return

As soon as your comics come back from CGC and we’ve received them again, we’ll notify you by email so you can conveniently pick up your comics safely during our opening hours.

What is grading?
Comic grading is the process in which comics are authenticated, inspected and encapsulated to preserve their condition. After inspection, the comic receives a grade on a scale of 1-10, based on its condition.

Why should I have my comics graded?
Several benefits of having your comics graded include: 

  • Proof of authenticity and legitimacy. 
  • Potential increase in value for buyers and collectors. 
  • Encapsulation and preservation of the comic's condition.

How long does grading take?
Generally, it currently takes 65 to 90 days for your comics to come back. 

Which comics can I have graded?
CGC accepts many different types of comics, including but not limited to: 

  • Vintage comics
  • Modern comics
