Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories - Game Boy Color - EN

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories, the player's goal is to defeat various characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, anime and trading card game to eventually reach the four rulers of ancient Egypt, who possess the valuable Millennium Items. Each character must be defeated at least five times to advance to the next level. Normally, the goal of a card duel is to reduce the opponent's 8000 life points to zero. Sometimes, however, a duel can be won by forcing the opponent to have no more cards in their deck or by having all five Exodia pieces in your hand. As is typical in Yu-Gi-Oh!, cards represent monsters: usually, the monster with the higher attack and defence value wins. However, in this game, elemental affinities also play a role. For example, a monster of the water element is defeated by a monster of the thunder element, even if its attack and defence values are somewhat higher. The player can also create their own cards by combining card halves that they receive after a won duel. There is also a trading mode and a real battle mode (via link cable).
