Description
TRON: Evolution: Battle Grids is a game based on the TRON: Legacy film. In 1988, the legendary champion TRON left the Battle Grids tournament, and a new champion now has the chance to rise. For the first time, an ISO (a program not created by a user) can become the new champion. The game offers a variety of different Grid Games that can be played alone or with up to four players. The different Grid Games are Light Cycle Arena, Light Cycle Races, Disc Arena, Light Runner Arena, Light Runner Races, HyperBall and Tanks. They can be played in Grid Games mode, Story mode or Championship mode. Whilst the Grid Games mode is basically a free play mode, in Story mode the player can create their own ISO character and undertake scenario quests and other optional side quests at nodes such as TRON City to improve the ISO's stats and earn Bits to unlock new equipment and vehicles. The goal of Story mode is to become the champion of the TRON Grid Games. In Championship mode, the player selects four to eight disciplines that will be the challenge of the Grid Championship game. In this mode, up to four players can compete in teams against the AI or against each other. Each Grid Game has its own gameplay, for example:* In Light Cycle Arena, participants must "derezz" (defeat) their opponents by forcing them to hit the light trail that follows their Light Cycle. Light Cycle races are simply a race to the finish line, but the player can still "derezz" opponents or crash them by bumping into them. Disc Arena is a disc combat duel where participants must eliminate their opponent by throwing a disc or through melee combat. HyperBall is a volleyball-like sport where the plates the players stand on can be destroyed by the ball. The two ways to win are to score a goal or knock the opponent down. Different playstyles can be unlocked by playing the standard games. Less
