Description
The Aquatic Games were conceived partly as an Olympic tie-in and partly as a stopgap for James Pond fans (the third platformer in the series – Operation Starfish – was significantly delayed in development). This game featured Pond and competing friends in the Underwater Olympic Games.
The events are presented as various mini-games, typically in the same style as Hyper Sport but with a water theme and the humour of the James Pond series (for example, the 100-metre Splash). Among the more unusual mini-games are Kipper Watching, in which incoming water balls are kept away from a troop of sleeping seals, and Gymnastics. Events can be played with up to 4 players.
